Zurich-based asset manager GAM is investing in its institutional clients business in Germany, where it has named a new executive for distribution. 

GAM appointed Juergen Florack as head of the institutional business at GAM Germany, starting at the beginning of August, «Institutional Money» reported yesterday.

In this newly created job, Florack will oversee the distribution of GAM and Julius Baer funds to institutional clients in Germany, according to the report.

Managing Director in Frankfurt

Florack will report to Daniel Durrer, the head of institutional and fund distribution in continental Europe. He will also become the managing director of the Frankfurt branch.

Florack previously worked as managing director for J.P. Morgan in Frankfurt, in the institutional asset management business, and as head of distribution for institutional clients at Helaba Invest and for UBS.
