Glarner Kantonalbank (GLKB), the most digital of Swiss banks, is continuing its drive to industrialize banking and has launched a loans factory, the bank said in a statement today.

With this service, the bank is taking care of the processing and administration of mortgages for third party customers. GLKB has won the pension fund of Migros as its first customer.

Softlink Licensed Software

GLKB also released the four modules mortgage lending, documentation, mortgage management and wealth management as licensed software products under the name of Softlink.

The Softlink modules and the loans factory can be combined at the client's choice. He decideds whether he wants to do the administration and transaction himself or whether he wants GLKB to take care of it.

New Customers

GLKB has created new sources of income with the release of the loans factory and Softlink, reducing its dependence on interest income. The latter was little changed in the first half of 2016.

Freiburger Kantonalbank recently bought the software developed by GLKB for online mortgages, the «Hypomat». Moneypark, the mortgage broker, acquired the «Investomat» software.
