Switzerland's leading financial website finews.ch claimed the top spot in the prestigious Comdirect «Finanzblog Awards 2016» in Germany. The editorial team is pleased about the international recognition of its work. The jury was impressed by the strong connectedness in the social web.
finews.ch and its authors convinced the jury with the variety of content and the quality, Comdirect said in a statement. It awarded Swiss website finews.ch the first prize of the awards 2016.
The award ceremony took place at the Finanzbarcamp on October 14 at the first German fintech week at betahouse in Hamburg. The first place came with a 3,000 euro cash prize.

Recognition Across Borders
The editorial team of finews.ch thanked the jury for the recognition of its work and is particularly happy to see that the website, which was launched in 2008, has gained a reputation reaching across the borders of Switzerland.
«Paymentandbanking» came second. The jury liked its concept, the podcasts and the visual presentation. The blog «boersengefluester.de» claimed two awards. It took third place in the jury award and came up trumps among readers, making it the best liked blog.
Special Award
«Mikrooekonomen» received a special award for multimedia content, the focus of this year's awards.
