Allianz Suisse has poached a seasoned life insurance specialist from rival Swiss Life, part of a change to its organization effective next year.

Monika Behr will take up a role as life insurance specialist and join Allianz Suisse’s management, the insurer said on Thursday.

The insurer will divide its current «products» division into one for life and one for on-life in spring of next year, a response to shifting market conditions, Allianz said.
This expands Allianz Suisse’s management to seven people, from currently six.

Swiss Life Veteran

Behr, an experienced life specialist, takes over the newly-created life insurance product division. The 40-year-old has been with Swiss Life since 2004, currently as head of business development for corporate clients. She held senior roles in several insurance firms prior to Swiss Life.

Roland Umbricht, who has been head of Allianz Suisse’s broader product division since 2010, will lead the non-life division.
