Swiss Life is putting an end to a double-management role at its asset management unit. It has announced the appointment of a new CEO for the third-party business.

Michael Klose will take the post of chief executive officer for third-party business at Swiss Life asset management starting in January 2017. He is taking the job of Thierry Van Rossum, who will return to his function of head of investment of Swiss Life France, Swiss Life Asset Managers said in a statement today.

Ending Double Responsibilities

Klose so far was in charge of third-party asset management in Switzerland and Germany. He joined Swiss Life Asset Managers in 2007 and was in charge of the corporate bond team for the investment business of the group's own insurance companies. Klose will report to Stefan Maechler, the head of investment.

Van Rossum has had two roles since May 2015. He was head of investments of Swiss Life France and head of the third-party business.
