Swiss wealth manager LFA SA, which focuses on the U.S. market, reports a major hiring success. A former top manager at UBS will take over as chief executive officer.

René Marty, the CEO of UBS Swiss Financial Advisers and active in the business with U.S. clients since 2005, has joined LFA SA, a Swiss wealth manager, the firm said in a statement on its website.

The company is part of the LFG Holding with offices in Lugano, Zurich and Miami and specializes in the business with wealthy U.S. citizens.

25 Years of Experience

Marty, 47, has more than 25 years of experience in finance. He for instance has spent time in Toronto, Canada, working in leading positions for Credit Suisse Private Advisors and UBS. The banker will take charge of LFA SA’s bid to expand its business in the U.S. further. He will be based in Zurich.

«There is great potential in the U.S. market,» said Marty in the statement. Michel Guignard, the CEO of LFG Holding, added that Marty’s unique understanding of the U.S. market will be invaluable for the company.

LFA SA is an independent Swiss wealth manager with a license issued by U.S. financial market regulator SEC. This license is necessary for the purpose of banking with U.S. clients on- and offshore.
