A private banker with 20 years of experience has been put in charge of Indosuez Wealth Management's Zurich office. He will develop the business in key markets in the Middle East, continental Europe and Russia.

Indosuez Wealth Management appointed Frédéric Wuethrich (pictured above) as its new head of the Zurich bureau, the company said in a statement today. Wuethrich began on July 1.

As head of the Zurich office, Wuethrich will also be a member of the executive committee of the private bank. Indosuez Wealth Management is the global wealth management brand of France’s Crédit Agricole.

Expansion in Zurich

Wuethrich, 46, has more than two decades of experience in private banking and has worked in a number of executive roles at Bank Julius Baer for the past 15 years. He has a federal diploma in banking, is an expert in wealth management (CIWM) and also holds a diploma of advanced studies (DAS) in banking issued by the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI).

Through the expansion of the Zurich bureau and its customer services, Wuethrich and his team will make a major contribution to the organic growth of Indosuez Wealth Management. Wuethrich will report to Patrick Ramsey, the head of wealth management at the company.

Major Wealth Manager

The appointment of the private banker will help the company move forward the development of the key markets, said Ramsey in the statement. «Our customers will profit from Zurich’s allure as a leading international financial market and from the group’s global competence,» he added.

The Swiss platform of Indosuez Wealth Management, which is responsible for the markets in the Middle East and Asia apart from Switzerland, had assets under management of 39.3 billion francs at the end of 2016.
