Glarner Kantonalbank and Finnova are extending their cooperation in a bid to further develop digital offerings. They aim at a specific segment of the Swiss banking sector.

Glarner Kantonalbank, one of the most digital of Swiss banks, and Finnova have agreed to develop a state-of-the-art loans-advisory solution, the companies said in a statement today.

The product will be an add-on to the existing Finnova Banking Software module and also become available as a stand-alone product. For the banking IT company, the cooperation offers the opportunity to present its clients a new product for loans services in addition to the existing platform.

Focus on Mortgages

With the deal, GLKB and Finnova show just how important digitization and industrialization of banking services is, developing further their existing strategies in this direction. The first phase within the cooperation will focus on the high-volume mortgage business, the mainstay of Swiss retail banking.

The solutions to be developed have two main focal points: a specific solution for the advisory process for the front office as well as an application for the processing steps in the back office.

The services necessary for the automatic approval and processing will be part of those services, the companies said.
