Super acquisitive Chinese conglomerate HNA is said to have increased its stake in Germany's Deutsche Bank just a few months after its first investment in the European banking giant.

The HNA Group, which includes aviation, real estate, financial services, tourism and logistics in its stable, only recently increased its stake in Germany's largest bank, Deutsche Bank, to 4.76 per cent.

In a new report from financial news service «Bloomberg» HNA is said to have increased its stake to 9.92 percent.

Largest Holding

The aggressively acquisitive Chinese conglomerate HNA is also said to be among the initial bidders for another German financial firm, Landesbank HSH Nordbank.

If confirmed this latest move would mean HNA’s holding would surpass Blackrock's 5.9 percent investment, which had been the largest stake in Deutsche Bank according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
