Julius Baer has calibrated its regional team for the Philippines, according to a note seen by finews.asia, following the arrival of a high-profile hire from Credit Suisse earlier this year.

Ivan Guidi has been appointed deputy sub-regional head for emerging Asia, and senior client adviser for ultra-high net worth individuals in the Philippines.

Guidi, based in Hong Kong, was previously head of offshore markets without greater China.

He reports to Angela Bow, who is Baer's overall head of emerging Asia. She joined the bank in May from Credit Suisse and reports to Asia boss Jimmy Lee.

Cappelli to Singapore

Christian CapelliThe bank's Philippines market head, Christian Cappelli (pictured left), will relocate to Singapore from Hong Kong to lead Julius Baer’s growing Philippines presence.

He continues in his present function and will also report to Bow.

«Our ability to attract senior Philippines bankers in an environment where competition for talent is fierce, reaffirms the attractiveness of our value proposition as a pure play private bank with a strong product platform,» Bow said.
