Julius Baer, the Zurich-based private bank, has found a solution for the vacant position of head intermediaries. The newly appointed manager is a company veteran and specialized in investments.

Stefano SpurioStefano Spurio (pictured left) will assume the management of intermediaries in Western Switzerland, Monaco and the Middle East. He will report to Gian Rossi, regional head in Switzerland, Julius Baer said today.

Intermediaries was integrated into the regional structure of the bank last year, and mainly into region Switzerland, which already encompassed global custody.

Part of Management Committee Switzerland

Spurio has been with Julius Baer for a dozen years, mainly in advisory. He for instance managed the business with external independent asset managers in Western Switzerland.

His last position was as head investment advisory for Geneva, Lugano, Monaco and Middle East. Spurio will take a seat on the management committee of the region Switzerland.
