Generali Switzerland appointed a new chief operations and IT officer. The physicist previously worked for a Zurich-based fintech incubator.

Martin Frick in February will take charge of the operations and IT department at Generali Group Switzerland, the insurance company said in a statement. He will also take seat on the executive board of the company.

Frick, 53, was the chief information officer at Zurich-based fintech incubator Indigo Digital. He also has a past as general manager in the Business Process Outsourcing unit of Avaloq.

Andreas Kruemmel, the CEO of General Switzerland, will oversee the operations and IT of the company until Frick takes over in February.
