Baloise is joining Fintech incubator F10. The Swiss insurer expects to receive important inspiration in its development as a digital company.

Baloise has become a corporate member of F10, the Swiss Fintech incubator and accelerator, the company said in a statement today.

SIX, the Swiss stock-exchange operator, in August 2015 launched F10 in Zurich. The think-tank houses IT experts, programmers and economists who together detect technology trends in the financial market.

Source of Inspiration

«F10 is a source of inspiration for us,» said Michael Mueller, the CEO of the Swiss insurance division, in as statement. «Membership will help Baloise evolve in line with its ‘Simply Safe’ strategy.»

With the membership, Baloise gets exclusive access to promising international Fintech start-ups at an early stage in their development, new technologies and business models with a disruptive potential, the company said.

Physical Proximity

Basler Versicherungen Schweiz, the Swiss insurance unit, has its offices in Zurich in the same building as F10, which will further support a close cooperation.
