Bank Julius Baer CEO Boris Collardi received a higher remuneration in 2016 than a year earlier. The executive and board members also saw their pay increase.

Boris Collardi, the chief executive officer of Bank Julius Baer, had a total pay of 6.5 million Swiss francs in 2016, 5 percent more than he had received in 2015, according to figures published in the annual report today.

The CEO of the Zurich-based bank reached the maximum base salary of 1.5 million francs, received a further 2.3 million francs in cash as a bonus and performance units of 2.2 million.

Julius Baer also paid pension fund and social insurance contributions worth a total of 491,000 francs. Collardi has a loan of 12.1 million francs with the bank.

Slightly More for Executive, Board Members

The executive board of the private bank received a total of 18.4 million francs, up from 17.9 million a year earlier. The executive increased to seven members from six, boosting total pay correspondingly. Giovanni Flury was appointed to the top management starting January 1, 2016.

Daniel Sauter, Julius Baer’s chairman, received 1.074 million francs in 2016, 25,000 francs more than in 2015. The other eight board members also had a slightly higher income, boosting total board compensation to 3 million francs from a previous 2.7 million.
