Bank Vontobel has hired a prominent specialist to head its financial products unit in Europe, based in Frankfurt.
Bank Vontobel appointed Stefan Armbruster as new head of Vontobel Financial Products Europe, based in Frankfurt. Armbruster will replace Wolfgang Gerhardt and is due to take up his new role on July 1, 2017, according to a statement today.

Gerhardt announced his impending departure from the job last autumn, having been in charge of the position for seven years. He is leaving Vontobel to take on new tasks outside the company.
Armbruster currently is co-head of the Retail Structured Products unit at Deutsche Bank and acts as a member of the board of the German derivatives association.
A Past at Swiss Bank Corp.
The new Vontobel manager at his current employer is in charge of the x-markets, with teams in Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Mailand and Zurich.
He also has worked for Crédit Lyonnais, Swiss Bank Corporation, Morgan Stanley, Commerzbank and ABN Amro.
