The digital revolution hasn’t caught on with independent asset managers as the proposed solutions proved too costly or unwieldy to handle for small companies. That may be about to change.

Digital platforms are still largely absent from the service portfolios of independent asset managers. Most of them continue to go about their business with easy tools such as Excel sheets. Some use software provided by companies such as Expersoft Systems for their portfolio management.

The company has now invested in a new service and will offer independent wealth managers an outsourcing solution via a daughter firm. The new firm, AM-One, will provide the industry with a comprehensive service, according to a statement released today.

On a Par With Large Players

Thanks to the service, independent asset managers can fully digitalize their business administration, including customer communication channels, back office and compliance. The service will help even the small and medium-sized asset managers to act on a par with large competitors and the banking industry, according to Philipp Bisang, the Expersoft CEO.

AM-One will help asset managers to fully exploit the potential of the software. Expersoft Systems has been active as a software provider for the wealth management industry for more than 25 years. The company is based in Cham, close to Zug. It has 200 employees and offices in Luxembourg, Stuttgart, London, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Panama and Sao Paolo.
