A veteran Credit Suisse and UBS head of region is joining the board of an independent wealth manager in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.

cardisLouis-Philippe Cardis, 62, (pictured left), will join the board of directors at Swinvest, a Fribourg-based wealth manager, the company said in a statement today.

Cardis, who was brought up in Château-d’Oex and today lives in Corminboeuf, has had a long career in Swiss banking, with more than four decades spent at companies in Vaud, Basel, Ticino and Zurich.

Consultancy Services

In 2000, he was appointed head of the Fribourg region at Credit Suisse. Later, he joined UBS in the same capacity.

For the past five years, the banker has been a member of the boards of several foundations, associations and clubs. He also manages his own company, Sidrac, which provides consultancy services to companies and private clients.

Swinvest is an independent wealth manager founded in 2008. Swinvest, DE Planification and Fontaris agreed to a strategic cooperation in March 2017. The companies are jointly operating a center of competence with more than 20 employees, while continuing to operate separately as independent firms.
