IHAG Privatbank has appointed a new chief executive officer to take over from Heinz Stadler, who is about to retire. The new CEO is a vastly experienced bank manager with an international pedigree.

IHAG Privatbank on August 1, 2017 will get a new CEO: Daniel Lipp, 52, will assume control of the executive at the private bank, according to a statement today.

Since 2008, Lipp has been a member of the executive at St. Galler Kantonalbank and head of private banking. Previously, he worked for UBS in Geneva and Marbella as well as for Swiss Bank Corporation (today’s UBS) in London.

25 Years of Service

Lipp studied economics in St. Gallen and acquired an Executive MBA. He follows in the footsteps of Heinz Stadler, 60, who has been a member of the executive of IHAG for a quarter of a century. He was the bank’s CEO for the past 15 years.

Stadler decided to retire from his position due to his age, according to the statement. He will continue working for the owner families of Anda and Buehrle on a case-by-case mandate.

Good Result in 2016

The executive of the bank includes Lipp, Roland Kempf, Thomas Kistler and Peter D. Rueegg.

IHAG Privatbank has had a good result last year, it also said. It expects moderate economic growth and continued low interest rates this year.
