Klaus Wellershoff hired three private bankers to bolster his consultancy in Israel. Two of them have a past at UBS, just like their new boss.

Klaus Wellershoff, the former chief economist of UBS, in February opened a branch of his Zwei Wealth Experts in Tel Aviv. Wellershoff is co-founder and chairman of the consultancy.

The company now reported that it had appointed three experienced private bankers at the Israel-based branch: Meir Baron, Amir Eshel and Ori Sharoni. They will share responsibility for the operations in Israel, the company said in a statement today.

Increase in Demand

Baron and Eshel used to work at the Wealth Management division of UBS in Israel. Sharoni was in charge of acquisition and marketing at BHI Switzerland.

The appointments came as demand for services from private investors in Israel increased, Wellershoff said in the statement.
