Credit Suisse appointed a new leadership at the investment banking unit after moving Marisa Drew to the newly created Impact Advisory and Finance division. The bank again opted for a dual management solution.

Credit Suisse (CS) chose Mathew Cestar and Jens Welter as co-heads of the International Banking and Capital Markets (IBCM) division in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at the investment bank. Newswire «AWP» (paywall) cited an internal memo in its report about the appointments.

Cestar and Welter both have been at the bank for more than 15 years. Cestar used to work for the Global Markets unit and Welter was global head of retail and consumer products at the investment bank.

New Jobs for Former Crew Members

The previous leadership team of Marisa Drew and Mark Echlin received new jobs: Drew was appointed to take charge of the Impact Advisory and Finance (IAF) division, reporting to CEO Tidjane Thiam.

The bank also appointed Henrik Aslaksen as executive chairman of ICBM in the EMEA region, according to the report.
