Zurich insurance group appointed a new chief executive officer of its business in North America. The insurance manager is a company veteran with 26 years of experience.
Mike Foley (pictured below) resigned from his post as CEO Zurich North America after ten years, with effect in January 2018, the company said in a statement.
Foley will remain active at the Swiss insurance company through several committee memberships and also through his potential involvement in future projects.
Zurich appointed Kathleen Savio as new CEO. She’s been with the company since 1991 and has held a number of management positions already. She currently is in charge of the Alternative Markets unit. Previously, she worked as chief administrative officer for North America.
Savio, as designated CEO Zurich North America will become a member of the executive committee on October 1, 2017 and assume the leadership of the business in North America on January 1. The appointment is subject to the approval of the regulatory authorities.
