Klaus Wellershoff resumes the position of CEO of his consulting firm after the incumbent resigned to join VP Bank in Liechtenstein. He also hired two more analysts to strengthen the research department.

Klaus Wellershoff, who became known as a chief economist at UBS, retakes the role of chief executive officer of his Wellershoff & Partners consultancy. He replaces Felix Brill, who decided to join the board of VP Bank in Liechtenstein.

Wellershoff appointed Constantin Vayenas as senior investment consultant, starting in October 2017. He was at UBS for a quarter of a century and was active as global head emerging market research at the wealth management division.

Appointment of Chief Economist

Vayenas studied at University of Port Elisabeth and University of South Africa. At Wellershoff & Partners, Vayenas will focus on developing the business with foreign banks.

The company also appointed Andrea Lassmann as chief economist. Lassmann worked for six years at KOF economic research institute. Within the institute’s forecasting group, she signed responsible for the foreign trade relations of Switzerland.

Lassmann studied at University of Vienna, University of Paris-Dauphiné and at ETH Zurich. She will lead the economic analysis unit at Wellershoff & Partners.

Importance of Emerging Markets

Wellershoff said that the analysis of emerging markets was becoming more and more important for his customers, because that was where growth was to be found. He also was committed to Switzerland. Companies active in Switzerland relied upon a well-founded analysis of the future economic development of the country.
