Swiss loans platform CreditGate24 is expanding abroad: the fintech is planning to sell its services in Germany, Europe’s biggest economy.

CreditGate24 is opening its first branch outside Switzerland in Berlin, seeking to develop the German market for digital financing and investment, the company said in a statement today.

The company, which is based in the Zurich-region, has installed a team in the German capital which will evaluate the requests for loans from private citizens, entrepreneurs and small- and medium-sized companies. CreditGate24 matches requests for loans with offers.

The company was founded in March 2015 and has since arranged more than 1,000 loans with a volume of 55 million Swiss francs. The requests have exceeded 250 million francs.
