Swiss private bank Julius Baer said it will propose a former longtime Goldman Sachs partner to join its board. The banker's familiarity with Asia will be a valuable asset to the bank.
Julius Baer said it will propose former Goldman Sachs rainmaker Richard Campbell-Breeden to its board. His experience in Asia will be of particular relevance to Julius Baer as it further extends its business in China and throughout the region, the Zurich-based bank said in a statement on Monday.
Campbell-Breeden is a mergers-and-acquisitions veteran who retired from Goldman Sachs last fall after 27 years with the American bank, 16 of them as a partner.
Most recently, Campbell-Breeden was head of M&A in Asia and investment banking vice-chairman for the region. In addition to Hong Kong, he has also worked in London and New York. Since his retirement, he has worked as a consultant for Style Passport, an online women's fashion store.
