Swiss stock exchange operator SIX agreed to a cooperation with a leading trading platform in Hong Kong in a bid to expand its business in Asia.

Zurich-based SIX and Contineo from Hong Kong concluded a strategic agreement, the Swiss company said in a statement today. Contineo is a platform for structured products.

Under the terms of the agreement, SIX will support the standardization of the Asian market for structured products, providing its product-live-cycle infrastructure Connexor starting in the first half of 2018.

Benefits of Scale

Connexor helps the participants in a market for financial products with a range of services across the entire live cycle. It also helps them fulfil the requirements imposed by MiFID II.

That way, SIX enables shareholders and customers to use their organizations established for local markets outside Europe and to benefit from synergies and scale.
