The departure of Boris Collardi from Julius Baer wasn't entirely surprising: the Swiss banker had often been queried on his next career step. At 43, Collardi will become a partner at Geneva-based Pictet & Cie, a prized role that is the banking equivalent of aristocracy. If he was the figurehead at Julius Baer, Pictet will not like him hogging the limelight. Still, Collardi is likely to remain in the public eye as he seeks to boost hiring and bring across clients from Julius Baer to Pictet.
