Credit Suisse is poaching a veteran Swiss banking analyst from a smaller private banking rival, finews.com reports.

Andreas Brun (pictured above), a well-known Swiss finance analyst, has been hired by Credit Suisse, effective April, finews.com has learned. A spokesman for the Swiss bank confirmed the move.

He will join to global markets team of sell-side equity research analysts, where he will cover banks and property firms. He will report to Christoph Gretler, a 23-year Credit Suisse veteran and currently head of equity research in Switzerland and Europe.

Most recently, Brun worked for Geneva private bank Mirabaud, as finews.com reported at the time, where he spent just 19 months. Previously, he worked for Zuercher Kantonalbank for six years.
