At Credit Suisse, he was responsible for investment management at the IWM division. The investment expert now opted to join Swiss Life.

José Antonio Blanco in June will take over as head of investment management for third-party clients at Swiss Life Asset Management, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

Based in Zurich, Blanco and his teams in Switzerland and France will develop the investment strategies in multi asset, fixed income and equities. Blanco will report to Michael Klose, CEO third-party asset management at Swiss Life.

Ex-Credit Suisse, Ex-UBS

Blanco joins the life insurer from Credit Suisse, Switzerland’s second-largest bank. He was in charge of investment management at the International Wealth Management division and reported to Michael Strobaek, the CS head of investment. In January, Credit Suisse had announced that Bjoern Jesch would replace Blanco in April.

Before his time at Credit Suisse, Blanco for more than ten years was regional chief investment officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at UBS Global Asset Management.
