U.S.-based Citi bank has named a new head for its Swiss and Liechtenstein capital markets business. The banker has a past at UBS and used to be in charge of Southern European markets at Citi.

Fabio Lisanti will head Citi’s capital markets operations in the two countries, succeeding Robert Schmoll, who is retiring, Citi said in a statement Friday. Lisanti is taking over from Schmoll with immediate effect.

Lisanti was previously head of Citi’s capital markets business in Italy, Greece and Cyprus. He will report to market chiefs Leo Arduini and Conor Davis as well as to Citi’s Swiss head Kristine Braden.

Lisanti joined Citi in 2016. Before that he was head of global debt markets at UBS.
