EFG International has poached bankers from companies including Vontobel and Julius Baer as it reshuffles its management in Europe and Switzerland. Here are the names involved.

After an earlier shake-up in Asia, the Swiss private bank now took issue with its management in Europe and Switzerland. One of the newly appointed executives is the head of private banking in Zurich and the head of human resources. Most of the new managers are reporting to CEO Giorgio Pradelli, according to a message released on Thursday.

Here are the changes at EFG International:

  • Richard Thomas, head of the U.K. region and CEO EFG Private Bank, London, starting in January, 2019
  • Sir Anthony Cooke-Yarborough, chairman private banking
  • Daniel Luescher, global head of human resources, starting in November, 2018
  • Mauro Palombo, global head of credit solutions and global head of strategic client management, starting in November 2018
  • Donald Klotter, new global head of institutional sales, since September 2018
  • Roland Kempf, head of private banking Zurich, starting in October 2018.

Richard Thomas replaces Anthony Cooke-Yarborough in the U.K. Daniel Luescher joins from Vontobel and replaces Giovanni Weber, who will go into retirement. Mauro Palombo joins from Julius Baer and Roland Kempf from Ihag Private Bank. Donald Klotter was client portfolio manager in EFG’s asset management.
