Geneva-based Gonet La Française has hired a distribution veteran from Alliance Bernstein to expand its operations into the German-speaking region of Switzerland.
Gonet hired Peter Stiefel to boost its presence in the north of Switzerland, the bank said. He will be assisted by Bénédict Fatio. Gonet La Francaise is a joint venture between the Geneva private bank Gonet and the French asset manager La Française.
Stiefel headed the funds business at Alliance Bernstein for 11 years, and prior to that spent eight years at UBS’s investment bank in sales.
