VP Bank will boost its presence in Luxembourg and has hired a banker with long years of experience in the nordic financial markets.

The Vaduz-based bank appointed Claus Jørgensen as head of client business and member of the bank’s executive committee in Luxembourg, VP Bank said in a statement on Thursday.

Jørgensen, 54, is a Danish citizen and has more than two decades of experience in finance and in particular in the funds business, with 13 years already based in the Grand Duchy. He has worked at Danske Bank, Nordea and at the Danish stock exchange operator.

New Offices for Luxembourg Unit

The new head of client business took up his duties at the beginning of October and is responsible for private banking, external wealth management, fund services as well as investment advisory and portfolio management. He will also contribute to the activities in the nordic countries.

VP Bank in November will move into new facilities in the Grand Duchy, which is a dedicated growth market for the bank.
