The co-founder of Crypto Fund, a digital asset manager, is stepping down as chairman. His successor is well-known within the group of crypto firms.

Philippe Cottier will replace Tobias Reichmuth as chairman of Crypto Fund, the Zurich-based provider of digital asset funds said on Friday. Reichmuth is one of the co-founders of the firm, and will remain with another, related company, Crypto Finance.

Crypto Fund is on a tear: in June, it became the first crypto manager to win an asset manager license in Switzerland. The firm said shortly after it was contemplating expanding in Asia.

Cottier, a well-known Swiss former banker-turned-investor, has since 2017 sat on the board of the third company within the group, Crypto Storage. In management of Crypt Fund, Bernadette Leuzinger will replace Mathias Maurer as operating chief. Maurer will remain as finance and risk boss.
