Tezos is beefing up its management. The ambitious cryptocurrency is taking on a legal counsel who spent ten years at derivatives boutique Leonteq.

The Tezos Foundation said it is appointing Ulrich Sauter to its management as general counsel einnehmen, in a statement on Friday. Until 2017, Sauter held the same role for derivatives boutique Leonteq until just over a year ago, when he joined law firm Naegeli & Partner.

The foundation governing Tezos also hired Eelco Fiole as finance chief, and took on tech entrepreneur Lily Liu as an adviser.

After a months of delays due to a dispute between the Tezos foundation and Tezos creators Arthur and Kathleen Breitman, the project finally went live in September. The foundation manages the $232 million hoovered up in an 2017 initial coin offering.

Since then, the Swiss vehicle has sought to diversify those funds out of crypto and into legal tender, as well as extended $35 million in grants and funding in a bid to help Tezos bridge the gap between the technology and its real-world use.
