Société Générale has appointed the former manager of its operations in China as head of the supervisory board in Switzerland. She replaces Yves Thieffry, who will retire.

Anne Marion-Bouchacourt moved to Switzerland in October 2018 to take over as head of the French bank’s business in the country. Now, Société Générale moved to also make her chairperson of the private banking division in Switzerland, according to a statement released on Monday.

Marion-Bouchacourt replaces Yves Thieffry, who retired after 35 years at the bank. The new chairperson for Switzerland previously was head of China at Société Générale. She has been with the bank since 2006.
