U.S. wealth manager J.P. Morgan is poaching a veteran UBS banker to run its business in Zurich. He will work alongside the current head of the team, Cindy Eicher.

J.P. Morgan is hiring Reto Demostene as head of its wealth management arm in Zurich, the U.S.-based bank said in a statement on Friday. The Swiss banker has spent his entire 26-year career with UBS, most recently catering to ultra-high net worth clients.

He joins the current Zurich head Cindy Eicher on the same management level, a spokesman clarified. Eicher (pictured below) joined J.P. Morgan more than two years ago from Deutsche Bank.

Like Eicher, Demostene will report to Matteo Gianini, the head of Swiss private banking at the U.S. bank. He studied as an engineer and is a chartered financial analyst, of CFA.
