Her name pops up for almost every top Swiss finance job going at the moment, such as the one at Raiffeisen. But Dagmar Kamber Borens didn't want to be considered there and also eschewed the CEO job at the cantonal bank in her native Basel.
At this point in her career, the 47-year-old knows what she's worth: when a shuffle in the C-suite at Credit Suisse in Switzerland left her with «just» operations and information technology, Kamber Borens elected to leave. She is right to do so: as a lawyer and former finance boss of UBS in Singapore, Kamber Borens has the pick of the crop of open jobs. She appears happy to wait until the timing fits and the right opportunity presents itself.
