The statue of a «fearless girl» which faced down Wall Street's bull will get a public reception in Zurich after all. The move comes after a high-ranking UBS private banker intervened on behalf of the powerful symbol.

A copy of Kristen Visbal's Wall Street «Fearless Girl» statue is still hidden inside the Zurich offices of U.S. asset manager State Street. That's about to change: the statue replica will feature in a public display at Switzerland's main stock exchange, SIX.

The Zurich-based exchange operator is holding a public event on gender diversity this Friday at its headquarters in Zurich west, a vibrant former industrial wasteland. SIX  CEO Jos Dijsselhof will speak at the event, as will State Street saleswoman Stefanie Ruf and Natacha Catalino, consulting firm McKinsey's head of diversity and inclusion in Europe.

State Street said the 50-inch replica, heavily symbolic for women in business, will also be displayed at an exchange-traded products day on May 9 at the exchange, at a client event held by the U.S. firm, and at a two-day pension event in Ecublens. The events follows anger from women in Swiss finance including Mara Harvey, who runs UBS' ultra-high net worth business in Germany, Austria, and Italy, as finews.com reported.
