Credit Suisse has created a new advisory board that will support the asset management team with investment ideas. The bank has found experienced and renowned scientists and businessmen who will serve on this body.

Switzerland's second-largest bank set up what it calls a thematic equity advisory board, Credit Suisse said in a statement on Monday. The body will provide insights into future technologies and strengthen the bank's expertise in robotics, digital health and security.

The board has held an inaugural meeting and will in future be in regular dialogue with fund managers.

External Experts Lined Up

Credit Suisse appointed five external board members:

  • Roland Siegwart, a professor of autonomous systems at ETH Zurich and founding co-director of the Wyss Zurich technology center
  • Aleksandaer Berentsen, professor of economic theory and dean of the faculty of business and economics at University of Basel. His research interests include monetary economics, financial markets and blockchain technology. He formerly was an external consultant for the Swiss central bank
  • Andreas Caduff, founder of Biovotion, a manufacturer of connected wearable physiology monitoring devices. He held various positions in the pharmaceutical, medical device and digital health sectors
  • Nicola Tomatis, CEO of BlueBotics, a supplier of autonomous navigation technology. He was a senior researcheer at EPFL in Lausanne.
