The German lender is seeking to aggressively expand its wealth management arm with the hire of two senior private bankers from Swiss rival Credit Suisse.

Deutsche Bank continues to grow its wealth management business in the U.K at a regular clip, this time with the hire of two managing directors from Credit Suisse. The two represent a build-out spearheaded by Deutsche's CEO for its wealth management business in the U.K, Michael Morley

Piers Harris has over 24 years’ experience in the financial services industry and joins the Frankfurt-based bank from Credit Suisse, where he has been a senior relationship manager in the U.K. ultra-high net worth team since 2013. Roddy Boulton joins Deutsche Bank after senior positions on the ultra-rich team at Credit Suisse.

U.K. Push

The bank announced the launch of a service to offer regulated mortgages to private-banking clients in the U.K. at the end of last month, supported by a series of recent hires including Saydam Salaheddin, previously at Credit Suisse, as head of real estate for Europe, and James Lockyer, previously at SG Kleinwort Hambros, as head of U.K regulated mortgages. It also announced the appointment of Alistair Jex from Coutts as its new head of discretionary portfolio management in the UK.

Prior to Credit Suisse, Harris held senior positions at Morgan Stanley and UBS. Boulton was previously at TT International, Barclays Capital, and Credit Suisse First Boston after starting his career in fixed income sales at J.P. Morgan following a short service commission in the British army. Both bankers will be based in London, reporting to Raffaello Nemni, head of coverage and client acquisition in the U.K. wealth arm.
