Swiss Re's head of Asia will leave the company after two decades. The reinsurer has installed a successor.

Jayne Plunkett, chief executive reinsurance Asia at Swiss Re, is leaving the world's second-largest reinsurer to «pursue career opportunities outside Swiss Re», the company said in a statement on Thursday.

Zurich-based Swiss Re appointed Russell Higginbotham (pictured below) as her successor. He will start in the new role as head of the Asia business on July 8, 2019. He has spent the past 25 years of his career in different positions at Swiss Re.
