Avaloq, the Swiss banking software provider, has appointed a new global head of sales, a position it has created to further support its growth strategy.

Freienbach-based Avaloq hired Marc Staehli (pictured below) as global head of sales, the company said in a statement on Friday. Staehli joins Avaloq from Crealogix, where he was senior vice-president of global sales. He will report to Paco Hauser, the head of global markets.

The company also made a second significant hiring: Mathias Schuetz (pictured below) will replace Tobias Unger as country head of Switzerland and Liechtenstein. He will also take charge of the Swiss service center – Avaloq Sourcing – in the capacity of a chief executive officer.

Schuetz will also report to Hauser. He was the chief executive of Arizon Sourcing. Unger, who decided to leave the firm, will support Schuetz to enable a smooth transition.
