A member of the executive is leaving Zurich Insurance after less than a year. The company is looking for a replacement.

Amanda Blanc joined Switzerland’s largest insurance company in October 2018 as head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). She has now tendered her resignation, according to a statement released by Zurich.

On the executive committee led by Chief Executive Mario Greco, Blanc also signed responsible for bank distribution, the business with the banking industry. She has more than thirty years of experience in the insurance industry.

Stepping Down in the U.K.

Zurich is looking for a replacement for Blanc and will name a successor in due course. Blanc has also stepped down from her job as head of the U.K.’s insurance association, the «Financial Times» (behind paywall) reported.

«We appreciate Amanda’s contributions during her time with us,» said Greco, according to the statement. «Our business in EMEA is performing well under the strong leadership of our Country CEOs.»
