The influential consulting firm has quietly subbed out a long-standing adviser to Swiss banks. The move is part of a rejuvenation of Boston Consulting Group's management.

Last year, Matthias Naumann headed a widely-watched annual wealth report compiled by Boston Consulting Group. Last month, the job fell to Swiss head Daniel Kessler and Anna Zakrzewski, BCG's global head of wealth management.

Naumann (pictured below) was removed from BCG's Swiss commercial register in March; as of this month, he is no longer a partner, but a «senior adviser,» according to his LinkedIn profile. This means he is still an adviser, but on a mandate basis only.

Naumann's next step isn't clear yet, but he is very well-known in wealth management circles and likely to surface at a financial services firm. His recent mandates included structuring a Swiss Entrepreneurs Fund, a joint project between UBS and Credit Suisse, as well as other Swiss firms, and chaperoned by the Swiss government.
