Julius Baer is hiring private bankers for the Swiss market. The Swiss wealth manager is poaching copiously from Credit Suisse to do so.

Zurich-based Julius Baer is hiring six relationship managers for Switzerland, four of whom it is poaching from Credit Suisse, the wealth manager said on Friday. Julius Baer said it is also creating two new teams in Zurich.

Simon Wanzenried (pictured below) an 11-year-veteran of Credit Suisse, will run one of the teams. His colleagues Rafael Scotoni and Ernesto Gemma, also from Credit Suisse, will also join Julius Baer.

Julius Baer is also hiring Chris Reinhardt, a specialist for entrepreneurs and executives at Credit Suisse. Besides Wanzenried's team, Julius Baer is creating a new team for ultra-rich clients, or those with more than $50 million in assets.

It is hiring René Freiermuth and Ronald Dold for the new super-rich team. Both had most recently been independent wealth managers. The new hires are in the purview of Andreas Feller, who runs Julius Baer's wealth activities in Zurich and in eastern Switzerland. Feller is also responsible for the Swiss bank's ultra-wealthy business throughout Switzerland.
