Crypto-banking is making great strides across the continent and Switzerland is no exception. With banks scrambling to introduce new services, there is a need for more training in the new business.
With the rapid advance of crypto-banking in Switzerland, companies need to update the financial-technology knowledge of their staff. Banks currently are enlisting employees in the first Certified Crypto Finance Expert (CCFE) course that will start in March 2020, according to information obtained by finews.com.
Financialmedia, a Zurich-based media firm, compiled the curriculum of the course with Rino Borini and Bravis, a consultant, with Julian Liniger.
Crypto Valley Visits
The CCFE focuses on basic knowledge about the Blockchain, crypto-assets, tokenization as well as trading and custodial services. Participants in the course will also learn about regulatory and compliance aspects specific to crypto-banking and visit sites in Zurich as well as in the so-called Crypto Valley in Zug.
Liniger confirmed the information and said that the course organizers have received applications from a number of banks, including Swissquote and Raiffeisen. «A big regional bank and several private banks are also interested,» said Liniger. «We expect about 15 to 20 enrollments for the first course.»
