UBS has appointed a new head of its branch in Hamburg. The experienced banker replaces Dirk Simon, the interim head of branch.

Armin Mueller will assume the post as head of the Hamburg office of UBS on April 1, 2020. He will replace Dirk Simon, the interim boss. Simon has been put in temporary charge after previous team leader André Spiewak had suddenly left the job, according to a report in «Private Banking Magazin».

Mueller has worked for Switzerland’s largest bank since 2010. He was head of the wealth management desk Germany international and also led the branches in Kreuzlingen and St. Gallen.

Simon will return to his duties as head of distribution management in Germany. He is tasked to develop a comprehensive distribution strategy for the German wealth management business of UBS, according to the report in the magazine.
