The Swiss bank sent most of its staff home to work when the crisis hit, and is now planning a four-phase return to normality.

Credit Suisse isn't disclosing when exactly its bankers will return to One Raffles Link, Canary Wharf, Madison Avenue, Paradeplatz, or Uetlihof – beyond after the worst of the coronavirus pandemic is over. Its return to work will happen in four phases, according to «Bloomberg».

The first will see a limited number of staff return to offices, while in the second further staff will alternate returning in smaller groups. The third phase will see larger groups back in the so-called split model, while phase four is effectively all staff back in Credit Suisse offices.

«Split» Staff

The news agency quoted the bank telling staff in a memo that: «We anticipate that in the first weeks and months, many of us will either continue to work from home or in split operations.»

It didn't specify which region will enter which phase when – Credit Suisse has considerable staff in Asia, as well as in the U.K. and the U.S. The Swiss bank plans to equip regional heads with decision-making power, together with specially appointed crisis managers.
