A veteran credit asset manager of the Swiss bank is returning to Switzerland, after an eight-year stint in Singapore.

Credit Suisse's Alexandre Bouchardy is relocating to Switzerland, where he will be in charge of the investment strategy for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, or EMEA, as well as aligning it with the bank's house view, according to an internal memo seen by finews.com.

In his new role, Bouchardy is tasked with finding solutions for clients and strengthening relationships with international and Swiss investors. In addition, he will aim to reinforce collaboration across asset classes, and bolster the firm’s relationship with distribution partners. He will also sit on the bank's global investment committee. He reports to René Kueffer, head of balanced solutions, and Michel Degen, head of asset management in Switzerland and EMEA.

Bouchardy joined Credit Suisse in Zurich in 2002 as a portfolio manager. He relocated to Singapore in 2012 to head its Asia fixed income team, taking on the additional role of head of asset management Singapore in 2017.
