The Swiss unit of CA Indosuez has appointed a new head of the business with rich clients and family offices. The banker last worked for a French rival.

CA Indosuez (Switzerland) named Emile Salawi as head of key clients and single family offices development. Salawi will boost the business in this segment and guide the development of the French bank’s business.

Salawi (pictured below) will be working from the bank’s offices in Geneva and report to wealth-management boss Isabelle Jacob-Nebout. He will also become a member of the executive board of the wealth management division.

Ex-UBS, ex-Deutsche Bank

Part of his brief will be the management of the key client and single family office business in all key markets in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, together with the colleagues in the regions and other units of the banks.

Salawi started his banking career in 1996 at the investment bank of UBS in London, before joining Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. In 2001, Salawi moved on to Deutsche Bank in Paris. In 2007, he took the step over to private banking of the German bank in London and Geneva. In 2011, Salawi was appointed to a role at BNP Paribas in Geneva, handling single family offices and key accounts.
